You may have heard that Michelin has announced a recall on certain Pilot Power and Power 2CT front tires in 120/70-ZR17. The tires can be identified by the following Department of Transportation (DOT) tire identification numbers, which can be found on the sidewall of the tire:

DOT 6UCW 980T
DOT 6UCW 979T

Please note this recall affects only tires with these specific DOT codes, which are also clearly marked "Made in France." Similar tires manufactured in other countries, which will be marked with different DOT identification, are not affected by this recall.

If you have purchased or are currently using a tire affected by this recall, please schedule an appointment to have the tire replaced. We try and stock this tire but at times we do run out temporarily and need to order from our supplier. There of course is no cost to the consumers participating in this recall.
